@superherobyday im still goign thru the video but you’re probably thinking of Escape by Craig Armstrong. its a brilliant orchestral piece.

they also used it during the M5 review in another season.

no.

JIMMYJIBLETS July 15, 2010 at 2:28 am

i’d take the aston. the only ferrari i’d have over an aston would be the 612 scaglietti, however it costs $100k more than a DB9 so i probably still wouldn’t buy it even if i had the money. aston all the way.

Hey, it’s been a year since you wrote this comment. Did you ever find out the name of that song, (when the ferraris pulls around the vanquish) I’m dyin to find it!

legendapoju22 July 15, 2010 at 3:24 am

I’d rather have the 575 of those 2, because the other one is an Aston… :S

Ferrari even if its look aged.
Cars are for playing, not for looking.

Have fun …

defprun July 15, 2010 at 4:26 am

But you can downshift that fast in a ferrari…

SpGR92 July 15, 2010 at 4:40 am

vamosrafa07 July 15, 2010 at 6:40 am

I’d rather have half an aston than 10 ferraris.

minnowhead July 15, 2010 at 7:38 am

perfect explanation

niagrakrud2 July 15, 2010 at 7:50 am

here’s the thing even if either car couldn’t get past 200 mph it really doesn’t matter, because in the real world your never really getting past 100 mph. knowing that i’d just go with the one that looks nicer. in that case aston martin

conorb147 July 15, 2010 at 8:28 am

wats the song at 4;30 neone?

goodboy13k July 15, 2010 at 8:57 am

the reason it wouldnt down shift for him is simply because he was going to fast that is how the car was manufactured so you wouldnt blow the engine

carlherland1 July 15, 2010 at 9:34 am

the engines are actually assembled in germany

aeraice July 15, 2010 at 10:02 am

does anyone know the track that plays from about 2.22 to 2.39?

jorikrademakers July 15, 2010 at 10:21 am

you are all wrong and the engine is not assembled by brits but by guys from sweden

robinrhysjones July 15, 2010 at 11:07 am

Rejoice! Does anyone know what song that is when the Ferrari swings round the Aston?

concubinazia July 15, 2010 at 11:51 am

fangalaxy23 July 15, 2010 at 12:32 pm

i agree. i agree. where am i going to race.what a classy car!!!!!

PCgeek14 July 15, 2010 at 1:16 pm

Nobody ever said you NEED a V10 or V12 to make 500+ HP, the whole point of adding cylinders is to make a smoother running engine, and a distinctive sound note. I love that V8 rumble, but the roar from a V12 is sublime, and the machine gun fire spitting from a V10 at high revs is surreal.

#1, wiki is not a definite source.

#2, read the wiki. “Developed FROM ford modular v8″… it means they took the blueprints on a computer, and modified it. Large pistons, stroke etc… slightly different materials.

All they did is modify the engine ford made. Dont hate because they designed the engine, just remember for fun they built a car that dominated Ferrari in it’s own class.

The CCR’s engine puts out the same power as the CCX’s engine, if you look at wikipedia, the CCR’s engine is a ford modular V8, the CCX’s engine is made in house by K-egg. But if you like, i can take the train to the K-egg factory and ask, its just 20 minutes from my town. oh, K-egg has a youtube channel, its KoenigseggAutomotiv
